There were many times at school when teachers would ask us to describe or define Canada. Over the years, my description or definition might have changed but my love of country never will. We are so fortunate to live here.

First Nations culture is one of the things I wish I learned more about in school. From Pre-Columbian contact to the following centuries to treaties to the modern era. Their history is littered with incredible stories, legends and myths. The more I travel, the more I wish I had known these things earlier. But I suppose it's never too late to learn something new! 😊
